🧑‍💻 About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Rust Architect / Backend Developer to contribute to an advanced AI-training project focused on production-grade Rust development, backend architecture and reliable software systems.

In this role, you will work on backend service design, asynchronous and concurrent systems, infrastructure, technical debugging and production software architecture. You will solve complex engineering problems, validate system behavior and evaluate whether backend solutions are correct, scalable, maintainable, reliable and suitable for production use.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, solve, and validate Rust backend problems involving service behavior, APIs, persistence, concurrency, performance and reliability.

Translate functional requirements, performance targets and failure-handling expectations into reproducible implementation and testing workflows.

Architect and evaluate production Rust systems with a focus on backend correctness, scalability, maintainability and reliability.

Prepare and configure Rust crate workspaces, configuration files, test fixtures, dependency services, databases and containerized environments.

Perform technical debugging and in-depth analysis of backend architecture, system performance and service reliability.

Assess API behavior, data systems, asynchronous execution, concurrent processing and infrastructure design.

Demonstrate clear ownership of Rust architecture decisions and backend engineering solutions.

Contribute technical expertise to AI training by developing and validating challenging software engineering problems and solutions.

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Rust programming and production-grade backend development.

Strong knowledge of Rust architecture, backend service design, APIs and production software architecture.

Expertise in asynchronous programming, concurrency, persistence, performance optimization and reliability engineering.

Understanding of databases, data systems, dependency services, configuration management and containerized environments.

Experience with technical debugging, testing workflows, test fixtures and reproducible implementation processes.

Ability to analyze backend correctness, scalability, performance, maintainability and failure-handling mechanisms.

Practical proficiency with Rust through substantial professional experience, research or open-source software contributions.

Demonstrated ownership of Rust architecture, sound engineering judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.

Experience designing and evaluating complex production Rust backend systems.

Strong understanding of service reliability, fault handling, concurrent systems and performance targets.
